Our Boise Home

So, this is our rental house in Boise. Pardon the pile of garbage out front... we are still waiting on the moving company to come pick up all the boxes from the move. We are starting to feel really settled in the house. It has 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms upstairs. Downstairs features seperate living and family rooms, the kitchen, the laundry room, and a half bath. The boys are sharing a room for now, and it's actually going pretty well. We are using the other bedroom as a guest room/craft room. I must have a craft room... right? The back yard is fenced and has a really nice patio and a fun flower bed area where we keep our bird feeder, and we have a lot of small birds, quails, and squirrels that visit us for a snack every day. We are enjoying the house, the neighborhood, and Boise more all the time.

Logan started the 5th grade and is enjoying school. He started playing the saxophone in the band. And he's out in the street playing almost every day. The day after we moved in. some neighbor kids, Max and Samantha, came and took Logan up and down the street and introduced him to all the kids in the neighborhood... so sweet. Ty and he are having a ball. We live in the end of a culdesac, so there is almost no traffic and the kids just run from yard to yard to yard and have a great time.

Ty is enjoying having the run of the house and the yard during the day. He's super curious about learning everything and once his mom gets on the ball... we'll start doing some home preschooling. He's also sleeping much better in his own bed now that he shares a room with his big brother.

Michael is enjoying his new job. He is missing being in the field, but he's also excited about the busy training season coming up this winter. He already has several trainings scheduled... from Oregon to Virginia... He will be traveling a lot, and is already signed up for all the different sky miles programs.

I decided not to go back to work for the postal service. I was torn about it, but I had just been dreading going back. So, I decided that once we all feel really settled and are in a good routine and I can find a babysitter for Ty that I really like, I'll find something else to do. I'm not sure what that will be yet, but I feel good about waiting a while to go back to work.

So, that's our update. If you didn't get the email or facebook message with our new contact information, leave me a comment and I'll get it to you!
