So my Michael turns the big 34 today! We didn't know until about 7 PM last night whether he would be able to take the day off or not... not much time to plan a party, but that's just how it goes this time of year. We don't make many plans... although I did order a birthday cake. Turns out, the big boss at the Park decided that Michael's whole crew should take the day off because he said he doesn't have the money to pay them holiday pay for Labor Day and pay them to work on the holiday as well... and besides the weather is very mild today... only 75 for the high and rain predicted as well. We're all just glad he gets to have the day off! He needs it... he suffered awful heat exhaustion on a fire on Saturday. He got to the point where he blacked out for a couple of seconds and fell to the ground, & coudn't stop throwing up. Thankfully, he has several EMT's on his crew who knew how to take care of him. He still probably should have gone to the hospital for IV fluids, but he seems to have made a complete recovery by this morning. He just works too hard. One of his crewmembers invited him to go golfing this morning, so he and Logan decided to go, even though it's awfully windy. I don't expect them to stay out too long. You can see that Ty wasn't very thrilled about being left home with Mom. In fact he was punishing Michael and Logan by refusing to even cooporate for a picture... silly boy.
Happy of the happiest to you my handsome husband. The boys and I love you so much. We don't know what we'd do without you. We can hardly stand being away from you during fire season as it is. Thank you for working so hard to take care of us.
