Response to Michael's Blog
I stole this picture from Michael's Zion Helitack blog. He took it as he headed back into the helibase following his experience helping to coordinate the rescue efforts at the sight of the helicopter crash on the Buckhorn fire of the Iron Complex. If you haven't had a chance to read Michael's account of the events on his blog, you should take a minute to do so. It's very heartfelt, and I think it was helpful to him to get it all out. He didn't realize what a response he would receive. The blog has had somewhere between 6000 and 7000 hits since Michael published the post. He has also recieved many wonderful and encouraging comments, as well as a couple of rude anonymous comments. It always bugs me when someone wants to criticize what others have done, but doesn't have the guts to put their name to it. He has added a couple of follow up posts since the original post to address some of those comments. I told him I didn't think he needed to, but he said he wanted to for his own peace of mind. I'm so proud of him and how he handled himself in such a stressful situation. It's my own personal belief that it was no mistake that Michael ended up in that situation and others like it that he has experienced in the past. He was there that night for a specific purpose and accomplished what he needed to in order to help. I love you Michael. I'm so glad you're mine forever.

Thanks for the emails. We hope things are going well at your house. Have y'all decided to try for another house yet? I guess y'all are getting ready for a baptism right now, aren't you? Happy early birthday Logan!
Michael, unfortunately hasn't had a minute to go looking at houses, and actually prices still seem to be coming down, so hopefully we'll be able to go looking again soon. I think we may have to delay the baptism until the end of September due to Michael's work schedule. He's having a hard time taking any time off. With general conference the first weekend in October I need to find out if the stake will have the baptism the last weekend in Sept. or the second weekend in Oct. The helicopter goes off contract on Sept. 22, so hopefully the first opportunity after that is when we'll have Logan baptized. I can't believe he's old enough.
